Each year, the Osnabr\u00fcck Peace Forum puts on a broad program covering a wide range of topics, to which everyone is warmly invited. The series of high-profile public events provides a setting for discussions about current political, social, and cultural conflicts, as well as addressing key issues concerning peace and conflict resolution. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

During panel discussions, high-profile speakers shed light on a range of issues from different angles and engage in lively debate. Honing in on the issues, these discussions explore not only national and international conflicts and crises, as well as their social, economic and environmental implications and impacts, but also address the challenges of achieving peaceful coexistence. Experts from the fields of public policy, culture, media, and science take the stage to discuss these issues among themselves and with the audience. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The annual \u201cmusica pro pace\u201d concert, held to mark Osnabr\u00fcck Peace Day, has been a valuable supplement to the Peace Forum. This special series of concerts sets the stage for ambitious music programs related to peace, presented in collaboration with renowned choirs, orchestras, ensembles, and soloists. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The October 3 Lecture, held on German Unity Day, is a major highlight of the annual program. Under the motto \u201cEurope\u2019s Take on Germany,\u201d prominent guests from other European countries describe their view of developments in Germany, which reunited in 1990, and the role played by the country in the European context. The site of the annual lecture alternates between Osnabr\u00fcck\u2019s historic Town Hall one year, and the Kreishaus am Sch\u00f6lerberg the next.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
