“Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” – woman, life, freedom: this call has become the leitmotif of the protests in Iran that flared up after the violent death of Jina Mahsa Amini on September 16, 2022. Since then, women in particular have been demonstrating against state violence and demanding self-determination and freedom at the risk of their lives in all parts of the country. The protests are brutally suppressed by the regime and the population is subjected to repression, violence and torture.

How does the freedom movement define itself? Is it possible to overthrow the Islamic Republic and thus change the system in Iran? What effect do the sanctions imposed by the West have and can they influence further developments? These and other questions were discussed as part of the special format of the peace talks and the historical characteristics and development of the country, the roots of the protests and the prospects for the revolutionary movement were examined.
